    Hi! I'm so glad you've stumbled upon my little corner of the internet and I hope you're enjoying your stay!


    I'm Kit Heart. And yes, that is in fact, a pen name. I'm a teenage girl, so I decided for the time being, to remain anonymous. Maybe someday I'll introduce my real name, but for now this is what we've got going on. 

    I'm a Hispanic senior in high school, living in Florida and trying to figure out the next few years of my life. I made this blog a few years ago to talk about books, but it's evolved into a place where I share my thoughts on the issues of the world, through the lens of my belief, my faith in Jesus Christ.

    I was saved as a young girl, and I've had the blessing of growing up in a Christian home and living amongst people who love the Lord and have done their best to guide me through these first crazy 17 years. I'm not perfect, but I hope to spread God's love and truth as best as I can through this blog. Check out one of my recent posts on the home page and thank you for taking the time to read this!

    When I opened this tab to start writing, it began to rain outside. It still is, right now, as I stare out the window, the sky is grey and water pours over the trees and roof. This is making me think about how, later this week, my family wants to go to the beach. I immediately hope our plans won't be ruined by the rain. Why Should I Bother?

    I was fifteen, sitting on the cafeteria table during a summer camp I was working. Surrounded by other volunteers and a couple of the adult teachers. My best friend, who was working the camp with me, sat on a chair below. Somehow, we had switched subjects from the hilarity of the kids we were taking care of, to politics. One of the adult teachers was from Eastern Europe, with a heavy accent and a big smile. We had grown to like him pretty well. Yet he was the leader of a group of teenagers who were advocating for socialism in America, demeaning our government, and overall just spouting wrong information. Legendary (Review: WARNING SEQUEL AND SQUEALING AHEAD)

   Ok, so this review is a little out of place because I never reviewed the first one but I HAD TO because I love this book so much my heart shattered and is somewhere in the middle of the Atlantic. It's Legendary by Stephanie Garber (check out the post on our IG @thepageflippers) and is the sequel to Caraval . Here's the summary you get online for both ( just so you have an idea on what the first one is about and aren't completely lost. Totally not to remind myself.)
